Galan
So I already put pics up today, but then Galan and I had some fun playing around with my camera downtown. I don't usually take pictures of people, so I thought these might be a nice change of pace. I also figured mom would appreciate these. :)
Oh, and if this had been planned ahead of time, I would have made him dress better. In his defense, he was going to play volleyball right afterward.

More Than One Word
"Shakespeare didn't just write one word and then walk away."
-Melly Mel
I attempted to use Photoshop, more or less unsuccessfully. I need a book on how to use it, or I need to take a class, or something. It's probably pretty essential to know. I played with these photos from other days just to see what I could do. Thoughts?

Day 25: Ticket to Someday
Something I don't think I understand yet is how you can be "inspired" as a photographer. Artists who paint, sculpt, draw, etc. are making something out of nothing. The art is in their mind, and they find a way to translate it into a medium. But with photography, I feel like the only way I could actually dictate what pictures I end up taking would be to pose a person or set up a still life shot--which is what I tried very unsuccessfully to do with today's picture. Otherwise, I feel like my photography is at the mercy of my surroundings. Yes, I can look at things differently, or shoot the same subject from a different angle or in different light, but what if I want something completely different? What if I want to figure out how to come up with the photograph in my mind and THEN make it happen?
Hey. You. I need some help here. :)

Day 24: Clear the Cobwebs
Back to the same old same.
Reverse the direction?
New year, new ideas.
New year, new perspective.
Time to clear the cobwebs.
Time to change colors.
Positive modifications.
